Ready for fresh powder and new tricks? Axamer Lizum is the biggest ski area right next to Innsbruck and one of the best places for snowboarding and skiing in Tyrol. It even hosted the Olympic Winter Games in 1964 and 1976.
Beginners finding their balance and experienced riders hunting for steep terrain both get their fix: there are more than 40 km of slopes and 9 lifts, with the Hoadlbahn gondola taking you up to 2,340 m. Freestylers head straight to the Golden Roofpark, a well-shaped snow park with plenty of jumps and rails.
