Stuibenfall Via Ferrata: Climbing Tyrol's Highest Waterfall description

Discover Stuibenfall Via Ferrata: Climbing Tyrol's Highest Waterfall

The Stuibenfall via ferrata in Umhausen takes you right up beside the Stuibenfall, at 159 m the highest waterfall in Tyrol. It's one of the most popular climbs in the Ötztal, and you'll feel the spray on your face the whole way.

The route is mostly graded B, with two short C overhangs, a wire rope crossing and steep ladders, over about 450 m of cable. That makes it a great first real via ferrata for sure-footed climbers with a head for heights. Plan about 3 hours, then descend over the steps and the suspension bridge back to Umhausen.

Gear up, clip in and get stoked for one of the best waterfall climbs in the Austrian Alps!
