Barbara Beach, Lebanon: Cliff Jumping by the Sea description

Discover Barbara Beach, Lebanon: Cliff Jumping by the Sea

Barbara Beach on the coast of Lebanon, just north of Byblos, isn't a sandy beach but a stretch of rocks by the sea, and that's exactly what makes it great for cliff jumping and snorkeling in clear turquoise water. Entry is free.

A rock wall of up to about 5 m makes it a perfect place to learn new tricks and slowly build up your jumps. The water isn't very deep, though: at low tide it can be dangerous, so always check the water level first.

Between jumps, grab your mask and snorkel along the rocks, then refuel at the restaurant nearby. Whether you're an adrenaline junkie or just want a chill day by the sea, Barbara Beach is one of the best activities to do on Lebanon's coast.
